Inspiration

Giselle Duval and Tim Andrew mysteriously transform scrap sheet steel into stunning Fine Art Jewelry treasures by combining traditional metalworking techniques with a contemporary eye, while looking to mankind's oldest inspirations: Nature and Love.

Since the day Tim placed a small hammered heart, that he had made from a piece of scrap sheet steel, in the palm of Giselle's hand, their love - and their talent - has flourished!

While Giselle wore "The Heart", fashioned to a string around her neck, working the local markets and craft fairs, selling their scrap metal clocks, people kept noticing, and commenting on, the askew little heart that adorned her neck.

Soon they added the pendants to their offerings after some refining: Tim divising new shapes and Giselle decorating them with nature-inspired themes. The pendants were an instant hit!

In the few years that have passed since Tim first hammered out that inspirational little heart for Giselle, many improvements have developed; the sharpening of their metalworking skills, the knowledge of what shapes and designs speak most to people, and their ever expanding line of Self Decor items to include adorable Earrings, amazingly cool Credit Card Cases & glamorous Hip Flasks.

This evolution unfolded while running THE RAVE 'N' IRON Gallery in Downtown Victoria for two years.

They have since returned to their artistic roots by working from home while offering their One of a Kind Earrings, Pendants, Credit Card Cases & Hip Flasks DESIGNER DIRECT through thier Etsy Shop.

The Philosophy

Giselle and Tim find that by using Recycled Steel for its aesthetic value, instead of its intrinsic one, they can challenge conventional jewelry making materials and their worth versus the footprint they leave behind.

Inspiration for their work comes from the natural beauty surrounding their Mountain Top hideaway home, where they live and work, enjoying a simple, serene lifestyle.

The true value of these absolutely One of a Kind pieces emerges from the sentimentality through the connection of the person to whom it has spoken.
